Maureen Stuart (Stewart) Singer
Following on from our series on the Kensington Club and Newport Entertainers we have pleasure in introducing Miss Maureen Stewart. Maureen was a favourite amongst Newport's singing fraternity and to the many who enjoyed her wonderful voice. These images were the first take for one of her albums and shot in the late 1970s.
Remembering Shane, child singer pictured in the mid 70s at the Helmaen Club. His speciality songs included numbers such as "Long Haired Lover From Liverpool" etc. These pictures were takes for publicity prior to him taking work in a night club in North Wales.
