WYNNS 4

Most of the images on this page were kindly lent to me by the late Mr H.P Wynn back in 1972, following a photographic commission I had undertaken for the firm. A conversation in the offices which led to the fact that My Grandfather used to fire for Mr Percy on the Steam Sentinals that carried flower from Spillers Cardiff to many destinations in the South Wales Valleys. Knowing my interest in the heritage of heavy haulage, he kindly offered me the company archive to copy, for my collection. I gladly accepted his kind offer. Here are some of those images.

I will not offer defined captions at this time as they may not be accurate. Needless to say that many of them are in and around Newport South Wales. One very rare picture is the image on the Newport grid iron , on the river Usk near the town bridge. I believe this picture to be in the late 18oos.
